Accomplished Athletes

Accomplished athletes are those who come through the B4MMA system and achieve sporting excellence by combining technical skill, physical ability, and mental clarity to compete at a high level.

Fergus "GUS" Moore

Under 91Kg British champion

Fergus had an interesting story. He went from zero grappling experience to becoming a British champion in under a year, but it did not start easy. He began his competitive journey with two back to back losses. From there, it was a tough back and forth. He would win a match, lose a match, win another, then lose again. Then something clicked. Fergus went on a 13 fight winning streak that carried him through to the end of the year and into a hard fought British Championship final.

At the British Championships, he won his first match quickly by leg lock. His second match was a close, competitive battle that he won on points. Tired and fatigued, Fergus sat down, composed himself, and stepped back out for the final, where he claimed the British title. In under one year of training, Fergus Moore became a British champion.

Hamish " The Machine" Moore

Under 85kg Scottish champion

Hamish started his grappling career and got into action fast, competing just two months after beginning training. He drove five hours down to Newcastle with no prior competition experience and stepped straight into a strong tournament. He competed on the Saturday, then went again on the Sunday for his second competition, winning both matches.

From there, Hamish went on to dominate the Scottish grappling scene at white belt. He collected numerous gold medals at Grappling Industries and Angus Grappling Promotions, and captured the highly sought-after Scottish title. This run led him to the British Championships at the end of the year. Unfortunately, his journey ended in the semi-finals after a poor tactical decision, despite being in a bracket he was more than capable of winning.

Coach Aidan has stated that Hamish is the most natural athlete he has ever coached, and that Hamish has more than earned his place in the club’s history as one of its most accomplished athletes.

Marshall Marcoons

Under 80kg British champion

Marshall McAroons was a successful competitor on the Scottish scene for roughly a year as a B4MMA member. He began his competitive journey with no grappling background, yet immediately showed strong performances. Over time, he developed into a well-rounded athlete, comfortable both on the ground and on his feet.

His journey culminated in his greatest achievement at the end of 2023, where he won the British Championship in the under 80kg division. His composure under pressure and balanced skill set marked him out as a highly accomplished and respected B4MMA athlete. Marshall later returned to competition and added another milestone by becoming the first ever winner of the B4MMA In-House Competition.
