B4MMA In-House Competition – Event Recap

On Saturday we hosted our first in-house competition, and I couldn’t be happier with how it went. I really believe these in-house comps are the best way to gain experience fast. Think about it, the more we compete against each other here, the more prepared we’ll be when it comes time to face people in official competitions. This is how we build confidence, sharpen skills, and get good quickly.

Champions of the Divisions

  • Youth Champion – Ian: Took home a full rash guard top and hoodie set worth £180.

  • Adult Champion – Marshal: Walked away with a brand new pair of Pro RDX boxing gloves worth £200.

Big congratulations to both!

Submission of the Day

  • Logan: Earned this award with a lightning-fast footlock in his very first match. Well done Logan! He won a full rash guard set for his performance.

Performance of the Day – Standout Athletes

This one was tough because four athletes stood out massively. All four earned themselves a rash guard set for their performances:

  • Cammy Moore – The favourite of his division. He made it to the final and only lost because of back defence in overtime. Once that’s tightened up, Cammy is going to be an absolute monster on the mats.

  • Callum – Decided to jump into the competition at the last minute after some pull-outs. Came in strong with a slick guillotine in his first match and put on a competitive fight against division champ Ian. Really impressive — keep pushing, Callum.

  • Johnny – Had a tough road to the semi-final and even though he lost to champion Marshal, he showed strong wrestling and serious fighting spirit all the way through.

  • Allan – What a beast. Had no easy route, beating both Mikey and James by submission before losing in the semi-final to Cameron. Showed composure, heart, and physical strength throughout.

Competition Structure & Lessons

Some people asked me about changes to the comp format. Yes, I had to adjust things on the day due to pull-outs and other complications. But that’s the reality of competition. You can’t rely on everything going smoothly , warm-up areas might be poor, you might get injured, match times might change last second. That’s why we train to be ready no matter what. No excuses.

What’s Next

Our next in-house comp is already in the works. I’ll announce the date soon, but here’s what I can share now:

  • Both Youth and Adult divisions will return.

  • We guarantee to give away over £1,000 in prizes across the divisions.

  • The show itself will be improved, I’ve listened to your feedback and will make it look and feel even better.

  • And for the first time, we’ll be introducing a main event.

This next show is going to be a big one.
